Sources: #Marlins, Reyes in agreement on six-year, $106M deal, pending physical. #MLB
Buster Olney confirmed it.

they still have offer on table for CJ Wilson

And I just saw this as well: http://twitter.com/#!/jaysonst/status/143533149316591616

Even after signing Reyes, #Marlins now plan to make aggressive push to sign Pujols, sources say. More to come at http://ESPN.com

Don't like the deal. Hes too injury prone. I like their lineup though.

6 years is too much for Reyes in my opinion, I would have signed him for 4. Good luck to him, looks like Hanley is moving to 3B now. Looks like the Mets have some extra spending money, lol. I dont feel that distraught that Reyes left, but I must admit he is a very good player who the Mets are going to miss a lot.

So is Hanley going to be moving to 3B or CF?

amazing to see the Marlins go all out.

however, i dont like the deal either. i would give reyes 4 years max. if some other team out bids, so be it

my first thought at the news though was the option year. a 22M option lol. that's not getting picked up, i can tell you now.

Their lineup is really good right now.

1. Reyes SS
2. Bonifacio/Infante 2B
3. Hanley 3B
4. Stanton RF
5. Sanchez 1B
6. Morrison LF
7. Buck C
8. Coghlan CF?
9. Pitcher

That team is going to score runs, especially since you have to take into account that Stanton and Lo-Mo are going to improve with the stick and Hanley is too good to struggle again this year and he's healthy now.

Its just not fair how these big market clubs steal away our players. Time to rebuild through the farm system and build our prospects in the organization.

I was joking around, the Marlins arent a big market club but they are definitely using that payroll they have saved to make a splash this year. I heard they are willing to bump up the payroll up to the 90 million range and it was around 45 I believe last year. And for the first time in a very long time the Mets were outbid for a free agent, especially considering he was a former player who was an important piece of the team.

Big sign. I hope they get Pujols to. That'd be sick.

Why would a team offer a player a 10 year deal?

This is stupid imo. He may be a great hitter but he's 32 years old.
