Ortiz wasn't a scrub with the Twins, he was just a very ordinary everyday player. Look it his numbers. There's no huge dramatic increase in numbers at age 35 (re: Barry Bonds), it all came at what would be considered prime years (ages 26-31).

I admit that I wouldn't be surprised if he came clean about anything. I am saying, though, it's not crazy or stupid to think that it could just be him playing.

It doesnt matter when or how you take steroids. Every ballplayer knows what they are taking when playing baseball. Steroids is cheating period. Yea, sure Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez were great players before the steroids, but why would you take them then? Im also not saying that they have tainted the game and the sanctity of baseball because it has none to begin with.

Ballplayers that didnt take steroids like Griffey Jr, Maddux, and Randy Johnson should be elevated even more so because of the steroid era. They did what was right and with a disadvantage.
