Lakers, Clippers Would Consider Signing Lamar Odom
 

The Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers are interested in signing Lamar Odom should he prove his personal and legal issues are behind him.
 
Odom recently began training again with the hope of returning to the NBA in the second half of the season, according to sources.
 
The Lakers and Clippers have not been in contact with Odom beyond calls inquiring about his personal welfare.

The Clippers could be close to signing Lamar Odom, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports.

 
According to the report, the players on the team are under the impression that Odom will be signed. Additionally, ESPN is reporting that Odom's timetable has been accelerated recently. He had a rough offseason with alleged drug use and being charged with a DUI, so it's a little surprising the Clippers would bring him on.
