Kobe Bryant has "no interest" in playing for Mike D'Antoni next season with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to sources. Bryant wants a new coach in place for the start of the 14-15 season.

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reported on Wednesday that he heard D'Antoni would be fired as well and that the Lakers' pursuit of Carmelo Anthony would be the reason.

Bryant was ruled out for the season on Wednesday.

Obviously this has been a frustrating and disappointing season, Bryant said in a statement released by the Lakers, but I appreciate all the support Ive received from the Lakers and the fans, and look forward to being back and ready for the start of training camp.

Kobe is always good for a nice controversial public meltdown, but I think this time it's just premeditated to gloss himself up for a glamorous post-basketball TV job.  I think Kobe has three goals in life right now: 1. Somehow get a 6th ring to match MJ, 2. Get on that NBA on TNT panel, 3. Avoid raping people.

Shouldve waited til AFTER the season

He signed before he played a game, idiotic. 6 game season, he looked like shit, had zero athleticism, and now hes out for the season

And now that 24m a year handicaps them

Would've commanded that type of contract regardless, just because of his name.

While it shouldn't have, it still would've.

Just for the record, the Cavs are going to sign D'Antoni in the off-season. Connection with Griff.

Kyrie in that off-season = sex. Everything else = gay sex.
