Lions placed RB Kevin Smith (thumb) on season-ending injured reserve.
Aaron Brown will take over as Detroit's backup halfback behind Jahvid Best. Although Detroit faces a beatable Cowboy front seven that ranks 23rd against the run, Brown should not be added to fantasy rosters unless Best aggravates his turf toe injury. Sucks for this kid.. I liked him coming out of college, but the writing was on the wall for him when they drafted Best. He is going to be the future in Detroit.
