Jason Terry wants to sign a "long-term" contract this offseason.

“It’s a tough situation,” Terry said. “I’m finally in a position where I can kind of predict my own future, so to speak. I want to stay here in Dallas. That’s always been my goal. But it needs to be long-term. If they’re not ready to step up and do that, then I’ll have to make my home elsewhere.”

Terry isn’t interested in signing a one-year deal with the Mavericks.

“I won’t be here,” Terry said if the Mavericks take that route. “You can count on that. If they’re doing that, you won’t see the Jet on the runway in Dallas. But my time here was good.”

They flat out need him in Dallas. Give him a contract. I doubt he asks for way too much, anyway.

They certainly don't need him if he wants a long term contract. Not worth it.

The Mavericks dont need JET, they need to start a rebuild because Dirk is getting up there in age and they need someone who can take the reigns for him. He can be a great #2 for the Mavs because JET is not worth big contract money.

He's only 34 and is arguably the best 6th man in basketball, and he certainly wouldn't have disappeared like James Harden has.

Give him a 3 year deal. It's not like he can command top dollar, anyway.

Honestly, I would love it if OKC was able to finagle him if Harden leaves. I guess I just don't know where he'd go.
