Eddy Curry reportedly asked the Knicks for an $8 million advantage last year to offset his growing financial debt.

New York rejected Curry's proposal, according to a person close to the center, as they believed the amount was excessive.

The same source indicated that the Knicks advanced Curry approximately $2 million, which is commonplace as long as the player is guaranteed to make double that amount on his existing contract.

Something weird is going on with eddy? I'm almost wondering if he's getting extorted.

This could sound a bit morbid, but someone needs to be with him at all times to make sure he doesn;t do anything stupid...if you get what im saying.

Either Curry is a fcking good actor that turns out to be some mob boss, or its his former driver settin' <Censored> up. His former driver was a convicted felon.

I think snowy was hinting that he might commit suicide.

I love how you guys are dreaming up all these conspiracy theories of why Curry is broke...when in reality he did what a lot of pro athletes do...mismanaged his money.

The guy bit off more than he can chew. Probably has a ton of unpaid loans on cars, properties, motorcycles, and most likely has a posse that he throws away money on as well.
