Caitlyn Holroyd Mar 9, 2016 8:05 AM
The San Francisco 49ers are bringing nose tackle Ian Williams back on a five-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Williams appeared in and started all 16 games last season for the first time in his career. Pro Football Focus rated him as one of the league's best run defenders, behind only Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, and Damon Harrison.
Since joining the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2011, Williams has recorded 91 tackles and two sacks.
