1. Alabama Crimson Tide: Defending champs have to replace 7 starters but Nick Saban has the necessary depth, to include LB Donta Hightower and DT Marcel Dareus coming back from injury. Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson mean the return of the best ground combo in the nation and QB Greg McElroy has yet to lose a game as starting quarterback since the 8th grade.

2. Boise State Broncos: They're should be very few arguments against the Broncos playing in a BCS Bowl game this season...being that both Virginia Tech and Oregon State are looming on the regular season schedule. With the return of 23 of the 24 players that started against TCU in the 2009 Fiesta Bowl, there's no reason to believe that this team cannot finish unbeaten and much more respected in 2010.

3. Texas Longhorns: Much like 'Bama, Texas has holes to fill but the depth is in place. QB Garrett Gilbert has had a phenomenal spring and both Aaron Williams and Curtis Brown return at CB, looking to anchor another very aggressive Will Muschamp defense.

4. Ohio State Buckeyes: Terrelle Pryor, coming off his best college game in the 2009 Rose Bowl, should be primed for an outstanding season. Dan Herron and Brandon Saine also return, forming what should be a very dynamic ground attack. With the potential for an explosive offense and budding defensive stars, no reason to think that the Buckeyes can't be in the 2010 title hunt.

5. Virginia Tech Hokies: A pleathora of capable backs for 2010 and improving passer in Tyrod Taylor. Bud Foster needs to reconstruct his defense but he's no slouch at making that happen.

6. TCU Horned Frogs: Look for more offense than defense in 2010, with nearly all 2009 offensive starters returning. More glaring holes on the defensive side and must survive a September 4th opener at Oregon State.

7. Nebraska Cornhuskers: Much of the Huskers success will rely on their quarterback, where Zac Lee has been missing all spring, thanks to surgery on his right elbow. Taylor Martinez has stepped in and shown a tremendous ability to run from the pocket.

8. Florida Gators: Massive makeover happening in Gainesville but too many top recruiting classes make it tough to believe that the Gators will fall too far in 2010.

9. Oregon Ducks: The Ducks need to find a suitable replacement for QB Jeremiah Masoli or else they will be counted out early. LaMichael James promises to have an explosive season with rushing attack.

10. Wisconsin Badgers: QB Scott Tolzein and RB John Clay return, meaning the Badger fans' days of watching a methodical offense might be over.

11. Iowa Hawkeyes: Ricky Stanzi needs to cut down on big game mistakes and the team needs to rebuff the offensive line. Iowa's biggest challenge will be unseating Ohio State but they will try to do so with one of the best D-Lines in the country.

12. Oklahoma Sooners: The Sooners will rely on many new starters in 2010 but as a team that was forced to compete in the face of so many key injuries in 2009, an 8-5 record shouldn't be too tough to at least match. Landry Jones played very well in Sam Bradford's absence.

13. Pittsburgh Panthers: Brian Kelly is gone, hoping that Cincinnati is gone as well. The favorite to win the Big East, again, RB Dion Lewis and big play WR Jonathan Baldwin return.

14. Arkansas Razorbacks: The team is capable of breaking into the top 10 if Ryan Mallett can stay healthy. Hogs need to play defense but play a soft nonconference scheldue.

15. USC Trojans: Crumbling dynasty in the post-Pete era? The dawn of a new dynasty fueled by a slimmer and more mobile Matt Barkley?

16. Florida State Seminoles: The Jimbo Fisher era officially begins and high hopes that Christian Ponder can come off shoulder surgery fast and lead one of the more explosive ACC offensive attacks.

17. LSU Tigers: Les Miles might be on the hot seat, should the Tigers continue to underachieve. QB Jordan Jefferson didn't have a great spring.

18. Cincinnati Bearcats:
Brain Kelly, Tony Pike, and Mardy Gilyard...gone. New coach Butch Jones will install his fast-paced Central Michigan offense, so expect some lumps.

19. Miami Hurricanes: Randy Shannon is fresh off a 4-year extension and he's ready to make serious strides. Jacory Harris is still recovering from shoulder surgery but all the talent is in place...as long as its healthy talent.

20. Georgia Bulldogs: Keep Aaron Murray healthy and play better defense, the Bulldogs should have a nice season.

21. North Carolina Tar Heels: Butch Davis should be climbing the ACC ladder and he's got the defense to do it. Biggest problems will be offense, specifically ground game production.

22. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: New coach Paul Johnson is going to have to plug players into his triple-option spread, something he's done well during his 5-years at Navy. Replacing Dwyer and Derrick Morgan won't be an easy task.

23. Penn State Nittany Lions: Biggest issue for JoePa will be who to start under center. Freshman Paul Jones outplayed both Kevin Newsome and Matt McGloin this spring.

24. Stanford Cardinal: With Gerhart gone, QB Andrew Luck will carry the offense on his shoulders. 7 returning defensive starters.

25. Texas A&M Aggies: Explosive QB Jerrod Johnson and a pair of dynamic tailbacks, A&M could be the nation's most improved team from 2009 to 2010.

I'd argue that OSU should be #2 but #4 is good. However I don't agree that the running game will be dynamic. Dan Herron is just an average running back, don't know what to expect from Saine though. He improved a lot last year. We're going to be passing the ball a lot this year, at least I hope/think. Or at least letting Pryor make plays on designed pass plays.

This years Texas team is going to be so hard to gauge before the season. A ton of people leaving, but Muschamp will never have a bad defense. The only thing that scares me is that no real running back emerged last year, and the Wide Receivers are soooo inconsistent. Hopefully the new recruiting haul for WR can make an impact.

Nebraska is way to high in my opinion.

Ill take 19, we have some proving to do, and Idk if Coop is going to be back after tearing his ACL, Shannon said he might be ready for the start of the season.

If not hopefully Berry can step in and take over as primary back.
