The Philadelphia Eagles have parted ways with head coach Chip Kelly, announcing his firing on Tuesday.

Jeffery Lurie, the Chairman and CEO of the Eagles, released a statement on Kelly's departure:

"We appreciate all the contributions that Chip Kelly made and wish him every success going forward," said Lurie.

Kelly, who has been the head coach in Philadelphia for the past three seasons, has been let go with one game remaining in the regular season, with the Eagles naming Pat Shurmer as the interim head coach for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

I'm looking forward to the 30 for 30 about his tenure in fifteen years.

What exactly was his role with the team with Chip calling the plays?

Finally, I saw this from the begining when they first signed him

He literally ruined an exciting offense that had Jackson, Maclin, and Mccoy. What an idiot.

Well he has preference of what teams he want to coach next, the obvious one is Tennessee, the other one is Miami and the other one is Cleveland. Prepare for it Dan lol.

That's what you get for practically giving away your offensive talent "simply because they didn't fit your system" in favor of overrated and injury-prone players. The Eagles could've been a team that's fun to watch but Chip turned them into the opposite.

Also this is what the organization gets for bringing in a Head Coach who's system does not fit the playing style of the stars already on the roster.
