Browns acquired CB Sheldon Brown and LB Chris Gocong from the Eagles in exchange for LB Alex Hall, a fourth-round pick, and a fifth-round pick.

The 31-year-old Brown, still playing at a high level, went on the trading block with the Eagles unwilling to sign him to a long-term deal. He'll receive a new contract and move into the Browns starting lineup opposite Eric Wright, eliminating the need for a corner at No. 7 overall. Gocong, a better fit in the 3-4 defense, will likely start opposite Matt Roth on the outside. The Browns did well to fill two defensive holes for a pair of mid-round picks.

Wow, the Eagles are definitely in the hunt for a rookie DB & LB...while the Browns may be shying away from a certain defensive back at pick #7. This deal is gonna force me to adjust my mock a little bit.

Same here man, haha. Everyone will. They might not be as high on Haden as all expect, or they might be trying to build a tandem in Cleveland.

Good trade since we have a lot of picks this year, but I really hope this doesn't open up the door for us to draft Clausen.. I do not want him.. Maybe we'll take Berry or Thomas.

But I like what we have done so far this off-season, defense isn't looking that bad. Gocong - Fujita - DQwell - Roth is a nice linebacker core imo. and Brown and Wright at corner back is a really good duo.

The Eagles have always flipped their corners at around age 30. I really think the Eagles make a push to move up on draft day, snag Haden, or they end up going for McCourty once their natural pick rolls around.

I do like how the Browns are adding sound vets this off-season but what they are compiling is only gonna be good for a couple seasons.

id like us to go LB or DE, but now CB surpasses DL as a need imo. as far as corners go joselio hansen has really stepped up as the nickelback

Watching NFL Live and wow...they just showed all the players no longer with the Eagles this season, had no idea it was so many. Clearly the Eagles are cleaning house and now I am starting to think that trading McNabb right now is the best option. I do however, question how much the production of D-Jax & J-Mac would go down with Kevin Kolb taking all the snaps.

Worst move the Eagles have made in this decade.

Sheldon Brown was out best defensive back last season and 2nd best defensive player (Cole)

He's the only guy in the back 4 that can make a tackle. He is a cover corner vs what Asante is. A INT machine that is inconsistant in many parts of his game.

The good thing is this hints they are making a push for Asomugha.

Asante will benifit from Asomugha if we trade for him.

But because they're the cheap ass Eagles we'll see Asante and some scrub across from him @ CB.

Trade McNabb now and get it over with.

8-8 is our destiny
