Eager To Sharks?

UPDATE: According to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Atlanta Thrashers have traded Ben Eager to the San Jose Sharks for a fifth-round draft pick.

Once he completes his current four-game suspension*, Ben Eager of the Atlanta Thrashers could find himself a member of another NHL organization.

The Thrashers will try to trade Eager, according to YAHOO! Sports. The big, bruising winger hasn't really fit into coach Craig Ramsay's scheme this season, but could provide some much-desired "attitude" and size elsewhere. Eager has 77 penalty minutes in 34 games.

Carrying a cap hit of $965,000, Eager is set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.

*Eager was suspended by the league for sucker-punching Colby Armstrong of the Toronto Maple Leafs this past Friday.

This is a nice pick up for San Jose, especially considering they only had to give up a fifth round pick.
