I can't imagine how Dwight Howard could handle those guys :
- Best Center of 30 years Hakeem Olajuwon , The guy who could play guard position with that footwork .
- Prime Scoring Machine Shaquille O'Neal which always a scoring race between him and Michael Jordan till 1998
- Low post Georgetown monster , Great defender Patrick Ewing
- 1995 Mvp David Robinson , the guy who scored 71 points .
Even Ron Seikaly , Brad Daugherty could whip Dwight Howard.
just too much class in 90's ,

Pippen said LeBron would be average, but Dwight would be average.

Players today are faster and more athletic. He'd dominate older eras

TWolves makes a good point. We know that the Dream would destroy him, at least.

There are a lot of things players today come up short in compared to older generations as well.

Robert Horry:
You always say great things about Hakeem Olajuwon, that he would kill it if he had the chance to play nowadays and be the best center by far. What about Dwight Howard?
RH: Dwight would have no chance [against Olajuwon]. Howard is a good player, but his offensive skills are limited. He only has the Georgetown hook, a couple of spins in the baseline... Dwight is a great player, but there are things certain players can and can't do, and Hakeem could do a lot.

Dwight wouldn't be average. He's still a great C, he's just not as good as a lot of others

Russell
Wilt
Kareem
Robinson
Ewing
Shaq
Olajuwon
M.Malone

Maybe Mikan too, but then it's Dwight. Top 10 C of all time is not average in the slightest

I don't think any superstar in today's league would be average in any other era, and none of the superstars from prior eras would be average now.

This isn't football, where players have been using illegal means to get better. Much like baseball, today's greats would play with yesterday's greats in reference to the NBA.
