Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Pat White was carted off the field with a head injury Sunday following a helmet-to-helmet collision with Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor.
White landed on his stomach, and Steelers players immediately began waving for help. He moved his legs and rolled onto his side before being lifted onto the cart on his back, and he also moved his arms.
Air rescue was canceled for White, and he was transported by ground to Broward General Hospital. Team spokesman Harvey Greene said White “seems to be OK in terms of movement,” but was being examined at the hospital.
