Clippers targeting JR Smith

The Clippers are pursuing guard J.R. Smith, who can return to the NBA after his team in China finishes its season.

The Clippers hope to convince the athletic, 6-foot-6 Smith to sign for the mini-mid-level exception of $2.5 million, or for the veteran minimum of about $1 million.

Smith owns a career scoring average of 12.5 points on 42.8% shooting.

I'll just go ahead and say it. Noway in hell JR signs for that.

Considering he can only play less than half a season he could take the vets min and hope to resign in the off-season. He would help them put a lot. I hope they get him.

I could see him not finding a team TBH, I don't think there's going to be a lot of interest in him.
