KGW's Michael Berk reports Chip Kelly is working to finalize a deal that would make him head coach of the Tampa Bay Bucs. More on KGW at 5.

If this is true, I can't wait to watch his offense in the NFL.

Also, Chip Kelly may be pulling a Pete Carroll here.. Getting out before something hits the program.

Last person I would have expected to bolt to the NFL.

Would be interesting to see how the Pistol / inverted wishbone / veer option would work in the NFL though.

This could make the Bucs a potential player for RG3.

I don't know if they'd be willing to give up on Freeman already, but Griffin would be a perfect fit in the Chip Kelly offense.

This is why Darron Thomas entered the draft. Bucs take LaMichael in the 2nd/3rd, Thomas in the later rounds.

Interesting. I personally have given up on Freeman. Maybe Chip won't like him too.

I would like to see it, he's a good coach. I have no idea how he would transition to the NFL but it sure would be interesting. I didn't expect this though, don't think anyone did. If they go this route, I'll like the hire. Probably bring a lot of coaches from Oregon I'm assuming. Time to get the Bucs rolling again.

I thought the Bucs wanted to go with a more proven guy though, this guy has no NFL experience whatsoever. Has been the Oregon head coach since '09... This seems risky, especially after what happened with Raheem Morris. He actually has more experience than Chip and has proven himself a little more, even though he's not a head coach. I'm surprised with this actually, thought they'd go with Marty or Mike Sherman and who knows, maybe they still will.

My first thought when I heard about it.
That's going to be a rough division. Panthers are on the rise, will be scary going forward as they fill some holes. The Falcons are close, just need to upgrade a few positions and get a little better and they'll be fine. Bucs are rebuilding and will be back eventually. That division easily has the potential to be the best division in the entire NFL.
