Bucs second-round DE Da'Quan Bowers insists his surgically repaired knee is "great" and that "everything is full go" from here on out.
"It's back to playing shape," said Bowers. "I've been rehabbing and working out all throughout the summer, even throughout the lockout. The knee is fine. I'm running, cutting, jumping." Dr. James Andrews acknowledged that Bowers had suffered damage to the knee, but nothing that would prevent the pass rusher from having a "great career." This is obviously welcome news for Bowers' rookie prospects, though we'd feel more confident had he joined teammates for player-organized workouts.

I was never truly a Bowers guy when he came out, and when he was projected in the top ten, but if this knee is fine and he can play at a high level this is the steal of the entire draft.

Bucs probably got a steal, they are building a nice defensive line as well. Hope it works out for them!

I'm not really positive, but I think the reason he fell so far is because he has a knee condition that could/should hamper his career. I really don't think teams would have passed on him if they knew his knee would be fine before TC started. And with the amount of research they put into it, I'd be surprised if they didn't know that.
