I really can't see Cleveland taking McLemore, and I don't see Karasev going that high.

I don't see why they wouldn't take him, he's the best player in this draft imo. And Kyrie needs someone to complement him scoring wise, which would be BMack, not Noel.

I see it as this.

At G, you have Irving, Waiters, and Gee as a SF. At C/PF, you have Varejao, Thompson, and also a young Tyler Zeller. Clearly the need is at SF positionally, but I don't think Porter is good enough to warrant a #1 spot on any team.

So then it comes down to:

You can take the defensive minded C with little offensive game, and force out Varejao via trade, or have Noel be a bench player until Andy's deal is done

or

You can draft the best scorer in this draft who at 6'5" can split time at SF along with starting at SG. Cut back on Gee's minutes, and have Waiters be that Jamal Crawford-type 6th man role, and with him, BMack, and Kyrie, that's a formidable young 3

I'd take the 2nd.

As for Karasev, I didn't see many players other than bigmen being slotted in this range, and Utah doesn't need to take another big obviously. And the PG talent is better reached at their Golden State pick (#21)than at their Utah pick (#14), so they don't need to reach for a PG yet. And look, when was the last time taking a Russian SF bad for the Jazz? lol

The Cavs cannot pass on Noel. This would be the 3rd straight year we've passed on a potential franchise center. Chris Grant isn't that ballsy.

I kinda hope we deal the pick for LMA or Love.

I'd trade #1 for Love, but not Aldridge.

I just want Noel really. With his athleticism and quickness he's a fantastic pick and roll partner for Kyrie. Fantastic. Can anchor a defense in the future, fairly good passer for a near 7 footer, and even though he isn't polished offensively at all, he can actually use his left a little.

He's Larry Sanders imo.
Without looking at combine numbers, I'd venture to say Sanders isn't near the athlete that Noel is.

And after saying that, I still love Larry Sanders. Noel's ceiling is higher.

Noel's knee issues make me wary of him & the fact that he has no offense to speak of isn't the greatest sign.

That's though to say, it's going to be tough for Noel to have the defensive impact Sanders had this year.

It's really not though. Sanders can't use both hands on offense, all around Noel is just a better athlete, and can be a hub on offense in terms of creating.

Noel weighed 222 at Kentucky, doctors told him to drop some weight for his recovery, so now he's down. Once he's fully healthy, he'll be back up to his normal weight most likely, and still has room to grow to 240 or 250, which is all we need.

Can't really argue any of it. That may be high for Olynk (or however you spell his name). I think Len will go higher as well.

I have Kelly O going that high because he's a rebounding big who has outside range and a 3pt shot. Aka Kevin Love's replacement

Len only goes so low because Wolves want Kelly, even if Len is better, and the other teams want guards/forwards, not bigs

kelly o is either going to big time bust or be a real solid starter for 10+ years.
