big deal but i'm not surprised, he's having an excellent season. I still think he's too inconsistent and won't expect this kind of performance the next two seasons.

This is actually a good deal. Probably would have gotten more money in the open market.

He's having a great season; has been hitting consistently from what I've been seeing. I guess he really hasn't had a team he's been comfortable with since he started in the MLB, and now he's really finding his place as he is having a career season. If he keeps this up within the next 3 years, I wont regret this deal one bit. AA usually knows what he's doing as he did with Bautista.
