The Toronto Blue Jays' search for some stolen bases came to an end on Wednesday as the team acquired outfielder Rajai Davis from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for pitchers Trystan Magnuson and Daniel Farquhar.

Last season, Davis appeared in 143 games for the A's and hit .284 with a .320 on base percentage and 52 RBI. The 30-year-old also stole 50 bases.

In 2009, the Norwich, Connecticut native played 125 games for Oakland and hit .305 with a .360 on-base percentage while stealing 41 bases.

Stolen bases are something that have been in short supply for Toronto. Last season, Fred Lewis led the Jays with 17 and no other Jay even reached double digits in the category.

Departing the Jays' organization are two right-handed hurlers.

Magnuson, 25, appeared in 46 relief appearances for the Jays' AA affiliate in New Hampshire, going 3-0 with a 2.58 ERA.

23-year-old Farquhar was 4-3 with 17 saves and a 3.52 ERA with the same team.

In another development on Wednesday, pitcher Shawn Hill cleared unconditional release waivers and became a free agent.

Good move for the Jays, we really need a guy that could play all outfield positions and steals a lot of bases. I'd be real happy if he puts up 2009 numbers. I wish Magnuson well though, he's a a Canadian dude so I gotta support him.
