Doc is gone, so who is the new ace?
First of all, is McGowan coming back for the start of the season? If he is, I can imagine him being the ace.

Romero is young and this is just his second big league season but he can get up to 15 wins if the offense backs him up.

Ricky Romero was pretty good last year
Right now with Marcum and McGowan coming back from injuries, i'll say RR is your quasi ace

Good point, should be interesting to see how such a young rotation does imo. Could surprise some.

If McGowan's healthy then he would be our ace but if he isn't it depends on how Romero plays this year.

I don't know, Ricky is still pretty young but will he be able to handle all the pressure of becoming an ace? Maybe but don't be surprised if Marcum takes it. He's been looking good and I think McGowan isn't at 100 % yet.

If John Smoltz is still a FA, I was thinking we should sign him to add some veteran talent, but the future of the Blue Jays wont start until Wells' contract is done to be honest.

When is that done anyway?

idk I think our rotation is too full enough without him, unless he's as good of a teacher as Halladay was then I'd say sign him
