Pretty surprising stuff so far in the MLB-- Beltran, Berkman and Giambi yesterday look about 6 years younger. Who's been the biggest surprise this season so far?

In the ALEast

Granderson's power
Beckett - Wasn't expecting him to have a 1.73 ERA.

Yeah, Grandy's power shouldn't surprise anyone. He's hit 19 or more in every full season of his career and he hit 9 jacks in September last year after he fixed his swing

I'd say the Indians success and the Twins terribleness.

I know Grandy has had power, just never expected him to have this many this early.

I drafted Jeter in my fantasy baseball league? Pretty dumb mistake.
I expected his production to dip this year, but not as bad as it has.

the Royals not being 30 games below .500. It always surprises me, even before the Royals have actually played 30 games.

Speaking of which, Hosmer getting called up was a surprise too. So far, he looks like the real deal.

I think 1 player as the most surprising would be for me Jose Bautista.

he's proving the haters wrong. i was all for the big contract. theres no way you fluke into that many homers.
I think he was going to have a good year, but not another amazing year. I was looking at like .275 BA, 35 HRs, and 110 RBIs. But this year he is off the charts.

Seems like we're focusing a lot on the hitters here.

Kyle Lohse -- 7-2, 2.13 ERA. 0.921 WHIP.

How come no one had mentioned the Seattle Mariners? Two games over .500 and in the race at a point in the season where they are normally done, to me they have showed up much more than I expected.
