It's unclear whether Sami Salo will return anytime soon, as we previously noted. But if he does return, it looks like the Vancouver Canucks are still open to trading Kevin Bieksa, TrueHockey.com reports.
If he is dangled on the market, several teams would probably come calling. But one interesting possibility is the Monreal Canadiens, since they are without Andrei Markov for the year. As far as the financial aspect, CapGeek's Matthew Wuest writes, "They could trade for Bieksa and still be able to bring in another defenseman with an annual cap hit of more than $3 million."
