There is no way in hell Ike Davis hits that this upcoming year. I might be a big optimist with Ike but I believe he can hit 30 and 100 next year. If you multiply Davis' year last year times 4 which is around the amount of at bats he would get, he would hit 28 HR's and 100 RBI's. Dude was hitting 302 and a 926 OPS.

David Wright with an OBP of almost .500? That's a typo right?

yea they definitely mixed up Wright's SLG & OBP. There's no way his OBP would be that high with so few walks, and his slugging so low, haha.

And I think Davis hits closer to 24-26 HRs unless he really breaks out. I guess bringing n the walls in RF will help, though.

Lol Johan
Despite his stats being projected to suck, he would still be our best starter.

And after seeing Torres' projections, I don't care how much of a "leader" he is in the clubhouse, he sucks and I want him the fuck off my team.

You guys laugh now, but every 2 or 3 years the Mets surprise the Yankees and win the subway series. You guys must not watch a lot of baseball...

The Mets are barely an excuse for a Major League team right now.

With players like Reyes and Beltran they would, but they're my pick to finish with the worst record in the MLB this year.

#1 pick here we come!

Too bad this didn't happen a few years sooner, we'd have Bryce.

Yea, I could see the Mets being the worst team in baseball. But thats what Im talking about, it always happens every year. A team sneaks up and just wins a regular season series vs a good team. Like Pirates over the Red Sox or something like that.

I still see Ike Davis being the best 1B in the National League, but thats just the homer in me.

Code:
Player G PA HR R RBI SB AVG OBP SLG
Ike Davis 138 590 24 82 97 1 .279 .362 .483
Seems about right for Ike.

*Agree. His biggest thing is gonna be how well he adjusts and bring his strikeout totals down. Other than that the power is there.
