The Astros have fired GM Ed Wade and team president Tal Smith, according to an Associated Press report.

The moves come less than a week after the sale of the team from Drayton McLane to Jim Crane was officially completed.

The team announced the moves late Sunday night in a statement from new team president and chief executive officer George Postolos.

Write it down, the Astros will have one of the worst records in baseball of all-time. With the move to the AL West, the firing of the GM and President, the lack of prospects coming up for them, and an already bad record in the Central. A recipe for a lot of losses.
