We will be starting our 5th annual SI player rankings.  Last year we only go to the SF position, but I'm quite determined to get the rankings completely finished this year.

Don't be afraid to share your opinion, whether it's a popular one or not.  We will once again be going 10 spots deep at all 5 positions.

Please remember these two things, please vote on the polls and vote for the best player, don't be a homer.  Most of the polls will be open 24 hours, but if the first place vote getter gets 5 or more votes than the second vote getter than I will close the thread if I'm around. Nola and I will be guys running the polls in order to try to get this done this time around.

Remember, this is based on who is currently the best player, not who has the potential to be the best.  Who would you take today?

He needs to become a better passer and a MUCH better defender before his actual impact reaches his reputation. There's 3-4 guys still left that I'd take before him.

I know Lillard isn't the greatest passer, but he also doesn't turn the ball over at a high rate.
I can definitely see why Conley would be voted ahead of him, but I don't see any other guys on the list that I would consider before him.

I might too. I've always really liked Conley as a player.
But if I needed a point guard to help me win a game, I think I'd take Dame. A series? Probably Conley.

So I don't know, tough call for me.

Yeah I was about to bring up your logic you said in the first poll. Granted if it's ONE GAME, I might take Parker over both, but I wasn't really considering voting him

I'm also considering rose based on the one game thing.

I wouldn't necessarily vote just based on a one game logic.
I just said that so we wouldn't have guys voting based on potential.

Just vote who you think is a better player right now.
For me, a one game logic probably helps me make a choice. But don't use that as your only basis.

I'd take guys that can go for 17-18 a night AND defend at a high rate over a guy that can go for 21-22 and not defend a lick 100/100 times.

And Lillard is in the conversation after this slot, but ultimately id take a few guys over him. Right now it's Conley over Lillard without question.

I don't think either Conley or Lillard is THAT great of a distributor. Conley especially. And he's not a great scorer either. But his defense might put him over the top.

I think Conley is a lot better than given credit for, just doesn't get to show it as much because of the offense he is in.

Ok so I'm filling out the big boards for the other positions.
What should I do with the Bucks? Where does one put Jabari, Giannis, and Khris position wise?
ESPN has them at PF, SF, SG respectively.
