We have a fairly easy schedule remaining, and I can see us winning 12+ of the remaining 16 games

All three are free agents coming up, but Zubac is actually an RFA which complicates the Lakers important plans. 
 
They're gonna use Muscala as a trade-exception, kinda. Offer him a lot more money on a 3 year S&T deal with only the first year guaranteed. Could be $7M, could be $14M... it really doesn't matter. Its a great trade piece to use to get help for LeBron.

I really don't think it's a point of contention. If the story is even true (it's probably exaggerated), Brad has no idea when that opening would come, and would need to perform well with the Celtics to still be offered the job.

Its the bird years dude. They can only offer so much money to Early Bird contracts, where as you can go well over the cap with Full Birds.
