(That was the most generous strike call I've ever seen)

And John brings in Kimbrel in a non-save opp, of course...

You're really one of those people who believe closers can't pitch in non save situations?

There wasn't going to be a save situation for the rest of the game no matter what happened

no but farrell is consistently not pitched kimbrel in 4-5 out situations needing a closer because of an inning count

in a losing game there were other pitchers to use instead of him

It'd be nice if we could get ahead of the Diamondbacks and take the #1 spot.  I know that might be a pipe dream at this point, but I'm happy as long as we don't lose the current spot as the second wild card.  We're treading water right now.  Brewers and Marlins are right behind us.  I don't think either team will have a run at the wild card (Brewers will if one of the two), but I'm not ruling it out.  This is our wild card spot to lose.  Right now our pitching is looking frail, but I have to hand it to Mark Reynolds.  here's a guy who's perfect for Coors.  He either hits a homerun or strikes out, and those homerun chances are magnified at Coors.  He's the perfect low risk high reward player we picked up and he was the difference in today's win.  But pitching wins games and I'm not sure how well ours will hold up.  That being said, I'm willing to take on the Dodgers in the playoffs.  They lose every year and Justin Turner is hitting way over his head right now.

Rhys Hoskins has 11 homers in his first 18 games. These rookies are insane.

He's slumping right now, but it doesn't take away from the fact that he's hitting around .330 when he's a career .280 or so hitter.  He's also north of his 30's, so it's not like he's going to improve dramatically in later years.  He's having a career year.

The twins too. Where'd that come from
Buxton seems to have found out how to play at the big league level.  He has excelled at every level he's played so it was only a matter of time.

Still have to be surprised by their success. They sold at the deadline after a cold streak

The Red Sox have not lost a single game where Christian Vazquez has homered

I feel like he should do that more often, or something.

hes been pretty great as a dodger, go look it up
Idc about his average. He still has long at bats and gets on base and plays a superb 3rd base.

Hopefully we are getting this slump out of the way now. That was not a great win.
