it'd be an upset knowing boston has still won a ton of games without kyrie and has the 2017 Coach of the Year, but Boston should be the team that is most commonly picked against for an upset (meaning high seed over low seed) in this year's playoffs

What a season

Opening night was the end of the world. A waste of time

Then the win streak

Then Celtics continue looking legit. People started really believing

Then injuries. Theiss, smart and now Kyrie it for the year

Back to square one. A waste of time

Alternatively, he could have taken a mid-season vacation like the GOAT since 2012

A waste of time for this year, sure.

Developmentally, it was huge for the non-stars. Jaylen and Jayson are probably well better off than they would have been had there not been big injuries, since Kyrie and Hayward would have been the dominant force of the offense. Hell, Tatum's averaged 17ppg since Kyrie's injury. They're far more confident with the ball in their hands and can create a lot better looks for themselves.

The second unit for next year (barring trades or unexpected regressions) can be really key too. Rozier and Morris both showed ability to isolate and create their own and carry the team scoring wise. Hopefully we can retain Monroe, Baynes, and Smart too, because then the 2nd unit is even more lethal.

Assuming Hayward and Kyrie will be healthy and full strength next season, Boston should have the ability to actually win the East title. It's been a great developmental season

My sources say Brad Stevens could be on the hot seat. Another year as the favorites and failing to make the finals would be devastating
