Unrestricted free agent LaMarcus Aldridge and Kobe Bryant "didn't quite gel" at their meeting.

LMA reportedly "didn't quite get answers from Kobe we was seeking." The Lakers have a lot of attractive parts of their franchise, but it's really going to be hard to convince free agents to sign there with Kobe's $25 million on the books this upcoming season.

Someone needs to leave a brief case with a recorder inside for these Kobe free agent meetings

What I'm most upset about, is until we resolve the SF signing, solid C/PF guys are coming off the board.

Like that. That's an excellent deal.

Paul Pierce - F - Clippers

The Clippers have agreed to a three-year deal with Paul Pierce worth nearly $10.5 million.

It is going to be at the mini-mid level exception, which will help the Clippers to bring back DeAndre Jordan. The Clippers had some issues with their small forward last year and had to go small a lot, so this is a big move. Pierce is going to be 40 years old when this deal concludes, but the three years in this deal is just to help keep the cap number down.

totally. we're losing out on other needs and could end up losing out on both if this doesnt speed up
