Hawkins contract pays 10.8 mill over the first two years, less than 3 in the last two years. 5.8 mill cap hit this year, 5 mill next year. That would be the reason for the Bengals not to match

The Oakland Raiders' offseason went from curious, probably disappointing, to a flat out debacle.

Offensive lineman Rodger Saffold, the team's big free-agent acquisition at $42.5 million, failed his physical and his contract was voided. The team announced that, according to many Bay Area beat reporters. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders had concerns about his shoulder.

didn't really know where to post lol

If I'm the Bengals, I don't match the offer. It's not necessary. Let the Browns pay it

The most irritating thing about free agency is the inability by most fans to understand 4-3 vs. 3-4.  You will hear so many fans of teams that run a consistent 4-3 say they want Vince Wilfork.

Richard Sherman might be my favorite NFL player ever.  When he's not killing people on the field, during the off-season he focuses on killing other NFLers on Twitter.  Went ahead and gave some to DeAngelo Hall and LeGarrette Blount tonight.

Linebacker Darryl Tapps tenure with the Redskins lasted just one season.

Tapp tweeted on Thursday that hes heading to the Lions, writing, It was an honor and pleasure to play for my favorite team growing up now my journey continues in the D #Lionblood.

Tapp, 29, was a reserve last season, playing only 86 snaps on defense spread over 11 games. The Portsmouth, Va. native and Virginia Tech product finished with 10 combined tackles and a sack. He also recorded one tackle on special teams.

In Detroit, Tapp is expected to replace Willie Young as a reserve defense end after Young signed with the Bears.

I agree with the main thing here, but Wilfork can easily play in a 4-3, since you know we've ran plenty of 4-3 in the past few years

Shit that angers me more are those who think Clowney can play 34 OLB

Just because Clowney has no experience in coverage doesn't mean he can't play in a 34.  He has the athletic ability and talent to eventually succeed there if teams were willing to be patient enough to coach him.

Same size as Tamba Hali, and ten times as athletic. He can play in the 3-4

Yeah but New Englands use of the 4-3 is an outlier, most teams don't deviate from their base package like that. A team that runs base 4-3 isn't going to sign Wilfork to be a full time 4-3 DT, especially with him becoming an older player.
