Imagine if they started Johnny Football week 1. He'd have experience and he'd be comfortable with the offense.

He'd also be great for short redzone situations like just now. Just have him scramble for a minute and that would give the Browns more of a chance than Hoyer getting sacked.
I don't like Hoyer, but we need to stop acting like Manziel is some sure fire thing.

I just want to see Manziel play so the Browns can move on and trade up for QB prospect this year.

That's why Crowell is better.
So it's not because the offensive line only blocks for him?

I don't think he's a sure thing. I just don't think his passing skills are much worse than Hoyer's, and you know he's got scrambling ability. That opens up a whole different dimension.

By now he'd have a grip on the offense, that's my point. But Hoyer's okay I guess.

He needs work, he wouldn't have been ready for week 1.

I am with you guys though, I want to see him play, I just don't think the offense will be automatically better. I just want to see him play to see if his game looks like it can translate. If not, move on, trade up for a QB with our two firsts.

We're stuck though if we don't figure this out. This is our last chance to grab a blue chip QB prospect based on the talent in positions that aren't QB.

The Browns two best defensive players are both down on the field injured at the same time

I know he wouldn't have been ready week 1. He'd be ready now but it's too late to turn around on Hoyer. If they started Johnny first they might've sacrificed a few wins and the playoff fun though, so I can't fault them.

The Browns are going to eventually be playing without a defense with all these injuries.

Not sure why we keep passing, as Crowell is averaging nearly a first down per carry

The Browns coaches are some of the dumbest in the league.
