Greg Maddux, who won a total of 355 games and 15-plus for a record 17 consecutive seasons

Tom Glavine, who won 305 games with five seasons of 20-plus

Jeff Kent, who set the career record for homers by a second baseman and also averaged nearly 100 RBIs per season

Frank Thomas, who totaled 521 home runs with a career OPS of .974

Moises Alou, a .303 hitter across 17 seasons

Luis Gonzalez, who 11 times in his 19-year career had 50-plus extra-base hits and drove in a total of 1,439 runs

Mike Mussina, who won in double-figures the last 17 seasons of an 18-year career he ended with 270 wins

I personally dont think Alou or Gonzalez get in. As for Maddux and Glavine they are 1st ballots. I think Kent and Thomas get in later on because neither was very media friendly and both weren't good defenders.

Haha, or as realGM put it, "EPIC."

Haha, definitely a special group though.

Kent, Maddux, Glavine, Thomas are the only HoFers in that list

I agree with Mexi. Mussina just wasn't HOFer good, Alou just hit .303, but never did anything else. Possibly Gonzo gets in, but I doubt it.

if Alou isnt a HoFer, Gonzo isnt

and Mussina only gets named because he was a yankee.

what are you guys talking about? yeah moose wasn't the best but he was consistently good his entire career which is so rare with pitchers and he was in the AL east his entire career. he's not a first ballot but he for sure deserves to be in. a 63% win percentage with 270 wins speaks for itself.

Maddux and Glavine are guaranteed 1st ballot HoFs. Kent and Thomas could both get in on the 1st ballot as well, Thomas more so than Kent. I think Mussina will get in eventually, I don't know what to make of the other two.

Maddux and Glavine definately.

Maybe Kent and Thomas at some point later on, but I doubt Alou, Gonzalez and Mussina ever make it in. Mussina MAYBE, but Alou and Gonzalez definately will not make it into the HOF.
