What we had simply wasn't working and this overhaul is extremely welcomed. Lovie Smith is a great coach who is building this team with his kinda guys and I look forward to seeing him take this team to the same contender status he had the Bears for so long. People may laugh at the McCown move but Josh gives us some stability at the position right now while we groom a Teddy Bridgewater or Blake Bortes for a season or two from now. Anthony Collins is a huge upgrade over Donald Penn and his shitty attitude and I also love the upgrades at Center and Right Guard. This team will provide McCown and Doug Martin the protection they need to make some shit happen. Defensively, Revis was extremely overrated and unproductive. We have beefed up the D-Line and now carry way more value in the secondary.

Now onto extending Gerald McCoy's contract...

Overall these deals are all very considerably cap-friendly and most will see an immediate impact on the field. With the Saints turning over their roster, Atlanta coming off a shit season, and the Panthers have nobody for Cam to give the ball to......here we come.

Bucs have had a great free agency, now they can improve even more with a good draft. Of course a great free agency doesn't always mean success but I think they will be quite a bit better with the upgrades they've made. Can't fault them for doing whatever it takes to turn the team around. Really, the team doesn't have many holes now that I can see. If they get another playmaker on offense (WR) or two along with a couple more pieces on defense, they are set. I'm not crazy about McCown but he can manage the game for them.
