the cards display the way to run, build, and manage a franchise though.

damn them.

The Cardinals are probably the best run franchise in sports.

The Cards probably deserve to win it every year tbh.

Hope they beat the Sox in 4. Pay 'em back for 2004 lol

What a shitty way for Scherzer's last start as a Tiger end too. Hope he wins the CY.

Well, better team won. Congrats Boston.

Had ample chances to take this series and we blew them all, not much you can do.

It's so fitting that Tim McCarver's last World Series is Red Sox-Cardinals.  Everything that makes baseball awful in one place.

dodgers are the future cardinals
it goes unreported by the mainstream media, but we spent a ton on the minors

i hate the stupid narratives by the media that the cards are all home grown and the dodgers "bought" or traded for players
frank mccourt didnt spend a cent on the minor league system, we were 30th in spending. just killed our system and we had to trade

but that'll change

i still dont think the cardinals are better than the dodgers. they were smart to kill hanley who we simply can't replace. sure you can say they didnt have craig, but hanley is different. we could survive without ethier, crawford, agon and even puig, just like they could survive without craig

hanley though, irreplaceable

I'm not sure I see the correlation between having a bad farm system and, as a result, having to trade to get star players. Seems counter-intuitive.

St. Louis is for sure better than LA. They have so much young pitching too, it's absurd.
