It has to be top 3 for us to keep it.

I think we keep it if its 15-30 too, but I'm not entirely sure.

Even with knowing what happens, G-Force is still better than anyone drafted after that pick. They wouldn't have taken Lillard with D-Will there.

I guess Harrison Barnes would be worth it considering he's making a lot less money for similar overall production but Gerald's playstyle of energy, defense, and rebounding fits the rest of that team so perfectly
Gerald Wallace is declining. He's taken a beating his entire career because of the way he plays. Anyway you look at it, it's a terrible trade.

Declining? Sure

Still a better player than whoever they could have gotten at that pick and for a team trying to win now, that's all that matters

And then you look at how flawed their idea of "winning now" is, and it makes the trade worse. Teams who don't look towards the future are the more poor ran ones.

Not at all

Teams are in win-now mode all the time, then they suck for a few years while building the talent back up, then they're back in win-now mode. Lather, rinse, repeat.

The only team that has been able to avoid this is the Spurs this past decade, they've been good for a decade+ without ever having to rebuild. Dallas was able to as well until these past two seasons after their championship win.

Dallas could be a big team in the free agent market though. Especially if Dwight and CP3 don't resign.
