If both feet are in the air, the first foot that hits the ground is your pivot foot. His right foot hit first, so technically that was his pivot foot. But he spinned off his left foot as if it was the pivot foot.

His pivot foot was never clearly established. On a lower level of basketball that would get called like 10% of the time and in the NBA it's not called. Kobe pushed him too

in the process of the shot you can lift your pivot without it being a travel. kind of like the "third" step some guys take as they lift up for a layup, theyre in the process of the shot so it wont be called.

The only way you can establish your pivot foot, is if you receive the ball with both feet on the ground.

he didn't lift it in the process of the shot. he switched it before going up.

That GIF isn't full speed and it's pretty close on there as it is. Like I also said, Kobe pushed him, which is what probably caused one foot to land before the other

looks like full speed to me.
I know that stuff like that doesn't get called, it looks like a nice, correct move and a spectecular fade away, and nobody at the time has the comfort of looking at it times and times again. But I was just asking if it technically was a travel, which it was.

It looks close to full speed but not 100% to me. Maybe my computer is slow.

it seems full speed, or at least close enough.

Steph Curry should have made it over Harden but oh well. I'm surprised they didn't expand it to 13 players on the roster since that's the new rule now.
