It is time to vote for the top 5 players at every position. Alot has changed in the last season so this should make for great discussion. Please try and vote for the best player and don't be a homer! I'll leave the polls open for about a day or so and after that we'll carry on to the #2 PG and so on. I will add more players as we go since you can only add 20 at a time.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best

2012 TOP 5 PG RANKINGS
1) Chris Paul
2)
3)
4)
5)

2011 TOP 5 PG RANKINGS
1) Chris Paul
2) Deron Williams
3) Derrick Rose
4) Rajon Rondo
5) Steve Nash

Put some talent around Deron and he will be #1 after this year.

You mean like Carlos Boozer, Andrei Kirilenko, Memo Okur...

You know, guys who were on his team back with Utah, when he was still #2 behind CP3

When has CP3 ever had a team that really made him look good?

Peja and David West are the only dudes that come to mind in his prime days with NO

This years top 5 should look similar to last years. #5 will probably be different, but my top 4 will be the same as the 2011 rankings.

You understand the concept of evolving correct? As in players progress and get better as a resultant of other players improving?

I find it interesting that Andrei and Memo arent what they used to be and how it coincided with Deron leaving. Heck even Boozer hasnt been the same without Deron.

I don't find what you said in the first part of this post at all.

Andrei has gotten progressively worse ever since D-Will took over in Utah, not to mention he hasn't been healthy in a while. Same goes for Memo with the injury thing, he hasn't been since the same since injuries got to him. Not to mention they're both 31+.

Boozer hasn't been the same because he went from a PG who was a good playmaker to a PG who is always thinking "me first" on offense.

Forgot how big of an offensive juggernaut Chandler was, CP3 was certainly racking up assists with Tyson in the post

He was racking them up on the dunks, they led the league two years in a row I think.

based on what we know? in my opinion it has to be deron, dwill and cp3 stand clearly on their own tier when it comes to pgs. but based on what we saw last season the second best pg in the league atm is rondo, his performance in the playoffs should speak to that.

Unless CP's knees start to fail on him like some expect.

He has no cartilage like Brandon Roy did.

Because you said that Deron will never have the good enough teammates to pass CP3, where who is on his team doesn't matter because even with a superior supporting role, he was never as good as a healthy CP3.

Deron was not a Top 5 PG last year, how can you put him at #2?

Dude dropped 21 and 9 with a garbage team around him

If that's not top 5 to you, lmao

I don't give a shit about PER or whatever metric you're looking at
