I feel like it was just going to happen that USC would lose. Just how they were set up, the preseason #1, Barkley Heisman talk as the favorite before the season even started, having them in the Championship, some having them win it. Not that it wouldn't have happened, but sometimes all that...
Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Never want to see players get injured, or sick. Seems that illness happens a lot during the year. It's how things go sometimes. We'll see how things go before the game starts. The plus side is they aren't out with an injury, so it's possible they could play if...
Hurts both sides of the ball.
Raiders have a lot of speed in their receivers, and losing Ford gives them a little less speed.
Also, with them not having the deepest secondary, losing Bartell makes them weaker in the secondary.
Aside from Pitt/Virginia Tech and Cal/OSU it's been a pretty regular day so far, with the ranked teams handling their business. Although, we still have other games to go tonight, including 3 ranked vs. ranked games. That could shake things up some.
Now that's the kind of toughness you want on your team. Granted, he is just out there to snap the ball, and stop defenders getting to the punter or kicker. Still takes strength to get it to them accurately, and he seemed to still manage to do a good job with it, despite that.
As if their defense didn't look bad enough in Week 1, they have something like this happen to one of their better defenders. Someone will have to step up for them.
I never saw him play corner in HS, but he's an emergency option and he might not even play at CB. If he does go out there and plays some, and does well, they'll know they have him as an option if they ever need someone. If he does go out there and sucks, they'll know it'd probably be a good idea...
I'm sure this make the Vikings feel better not having to worry about him on the defense. He's an impact player and I hope he isn't out too long. I enjoy watching his game. One of my favorite defensive players, with such a sick spin move.
You've been a great piece of the SI family. Even though we didn't really know each other that well, I never had a problem with you, and I knew you weren't one to shy away from speaking your mind, no matter the subject.
I hope that your education and your co op goes well for you, and you will be...
Haha woah, I came to this, and noticed my name was purple. I thought my eyes were messing with me. Thanks for the opportunity and I'll gladly take care of the NFL Section the best that I can :)
Yeah, the secondary is a big issue, but it was also a issue last year and made the playoffs. With that shaky secondary and basically no run game. Having run production, of any kind would be an upgrade and make the offense better. I'm excited to see how things play out with the NFC North. I know...
I get him being upset but it was funny seeing him bump into Webb, like it was going to bother him or something. Webb looked like he just kind of laughed it off. He also did that little kick to Charles Woodson. It wasn't a great game for them, by any means, and that O-Line sucks, that's been...
I remember when he and Big Papi got into it. That was entertaining. I don't follow the Orioles much but I completely forgot about him, with Jim Johnson being the closer it's like he was just kind of around but that's about it lol.
That's my mindset. Get rid of him haha
I think that with the emergence of Jordy Nelson and that addition of Randall Cobb, who has become a nice asset in the passing game, as well as the return game, that can make him more expendable, but I think they'll keep him there. Without him, they don't...
It's basically if Nate was playing with Randy right now, he'd say Randy. Of course he's going to be in favor of his current teammate.
Do I agree with it? No, I don't. At this point and time.
