That actually wouldn't surprise me at all. I mean I have Kalil 5th, but if Claiborne and Richardson are gone I really expect them to move back and target a corner like Gilmore. They did host Kalil for a visit so if push comes to shove, I think they wouldn't mind taking the best LT in the draft...
There's a decent chance that at least half of that list is gone before your pick, and I think you are underestimating Cordy Glenn. I don't know if he can be a bonafide LT, but at the very least he is a stout offensive lineman who will give you some versatility and let you figure out what to do...
He is a much better perimeter shooter is what I meant when I said shooter, I understand that Rose takes more floaters/layups and thus his FG% may be higher... But Kyrie is clearly the better shooter.
I wouldn't be too concerned with Kyrie's assists in his rookie season considering the team he...
I think he's definitely going to be better and isn't very far. If he took as many shots as Rose did, I'm sure he'd score more. He's a great scorer who is actually a great shooter (unlike many of the top PGs now)
I don't think Penn is a long term solution at LT, though I get your point. I think Kalil is the best prospect on the board, and I don't think I can see them taking Blackmon or reaching on a CB over Kalil, if he's still there that is.
It isn't necessarily to accommodate Colt, but rather just giving any QB who is there a weapon. It gives Colt a chance to show if he is the guy or not, no excuses about lack of playmakers. If Colt falls on his face as predicted, then they'll be in a great position for next year to plug in a QB.
The Pats do need an OL, but I think the value present on the front 7 is better than the remaining offensive linemen. I was considering Martin for them, but I think Belichek is perfectly comfortable waiting for a smaller school OL Silatolu, or maybe Bobby Massie.
Disclaimer: I wrote a lot
I have the picks in bold, and would appreciate if you read the rest too... but the picks are in bold.
Sorry if you don't agree with your team's picks, just the way I have them... Though I will look forward to comments/criticisms.
Players I’m down on:
Melvin...
lmao that's idiotic.
Random notes on why the Browns likely won't take Tanny:
A&M and Bama had their pro days on the same day... GM and coach went to see Richardson, sent Childress to Tanny. Also haven't brought in Tanny for a private workout - something you assume a team would do before taking...
I don't think this is a fair way to judge drafting to be honest...
First: the all pro teams are a joke.
Second: D'Qwell Jackson could have easily been an "all pro" in either 08 or 11 if he was on a better team. Same with Haden as a rookie, and he should be on one going forward.
Not to say...
I think the Browns take Richardson and avoid Claiborne/Blackmon for one major reason... The AFC North is still a ground and pound division. You don't NEED an amazing pass defense (Claiborne) nor do you NEED an amazing receiving crew (Blackmon), but you do need a good running game.
I don't think...
No because you won't get good value for him considering the other team would have to take on his huge contract... or the Canucks would be taking back some huge contracts in return.
Or just this round.
It's not Gabs fault, it's the mentality of the team. We are playing waaaaaay too defensive once we score. Got to model after the Flyers in their series: take a lead, and keep playing aggressive to make it bigger.
