Colts activated Peyton Manning from the physically unable to perform list, meaning he now can start practicing.

Great news for the Colts.

Somehow I still don't think he's ready to practice. He said just during their last preseason game that he is still a ways off. (he moved his neck fine during the interview lol)

But maybe they took him off the list to start getting him involved slowly.

Yea that is most likely what they are doing. But you never know. He might have just been lying about being ways off, but we'll find out soon I guess.

Awesome news for the Colts, but what sucks is that he'll still probably miss the first game. Collins will get one start and then be a backup the rest of the season barring another injury.

I get that feeling too, I think he will still miss 1-2 weeks but I could easily be wrong.

Chris Mortenson was on the local New Orleans radio station earlier and said this has been the plan for the Colts and Manning all along and doesn't mean he can or can't play.

Well they were running out of time. THey had to activate him soon or risk losing him for a few weeks on PUP.
