After leaving a big mess behind when he walked away from the Ohio State football program, Terrelle Pryor rivals LeBron James as the least popular athlete in Ohio right now. But that doesn’t necessarily means he’s leaving Ohio.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns could take Pryor in the supplemental draft, and they’re at least interested enough that they’re doing their due diligence on him.

If the Browns were to take Pryor, it probably wouldn’t be as a quarterback, as Cleveland appears set with Colt McCoy as the starter and Seneca Wallace as the backup. But as NFL Network’s Mike Mayock has noted, Pryor could provide plenty of value as a hybrid quarterback/running back/receiver who takes some snaps in the wildcat formation.

At the very least, expect Browns President Mike Holmgren to give his buddy Jon Gruden a call and find out what he thinks.

Pryor wont be a starter anytime soon.

He'll pretty much learn.

Wouldn't surprise me. Holmgren loves to try and develop QBs.

Cleveland needs to realize they have a good QB moving forward in Colt McCoy. Give him some time.

The only thing Pryor would do in Cleveland is learn how to play another position.

SMH.

Colt McCoy isn't "Good" hes meh/okay.

Pryor can't play another position, even a NFL Scout said so.

Pryor can definitely become a WR, he's too physically gifted to not be able to make the transition

Only thing he might not have is good hands, might have a case of the dropsies

One personnel source said he "thought (Pryor) had a chance after his sophomore season, but seemed to regress last year." That same evaluator said he'd keep Pryor at quarterback if he drafted him because "his mind set won't allow for a position change." Another scouting source described Pryor as "not the athlete of (Cam) Newton," and "looks too big to play receiver in the NFL."

Pryor if they put effort into could change a position. Regardless. Colt McCoy is going to be just fine in the NFL.. Look at the targets he had to throw the ball to last year in Cleveland.

Yep, let's limit Colt McCoy's career because of the team he had as a rookie.

Picking up a developmental QB would not spell the end of Colt McCoy in Cleveland..

Who said that? I said he was meh/okay. His team wasn't THAT bad.

They beat the Pats and the Saints.

All Mccoy Did was manage the game. He'll never be a top 10 allstar franchise QB. His upside is a Jake Delhomme/Matt Hasselbeck.

Who said that he's going to be a top ten QB? Nobody. He's going to be a pretty good QB in the NFL, and that's about all.

They added Greg Little to their team to try and add to his arsenal of weapons. If he can pan out that's gonna be a nice duo for the Browns.

Your being generous with Hasselbeck, in his prime (and healthy) he was a VERY good QB. Problem was he always had some type of injury.

Hasselbeck has never been an elite QB to me. He was always an above average/decent QB.. Much like David Garrard.

Hasselbeck was a good QB back in his day. Definitely not elite, but he was good. Injuries have definitely been his problem and he's a lot older now too.

That's what I'm sayin, though he did have a season of 24 scores to 9 interceptions and completed 66% of his passes. That's pretty close to elite numbers, for one season atleast.

I can't see McCoy every putting up those kinds of numbers.
