Major League Baseball plans to award the 2013 All-Star Game to Citi Field, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

An official said Saturday that an official announcement may not come for months.

It was announced in June of 2010 that the 2012 All-Star Game will be played in Kansas City.

"We went back to Yankee Stadium because it was the last year of what I believe was the most famous cathedral in American sports, and maybe the world," commissioner Bud Selig told ESPNNewYork.com at last year's All-Star Game.

"And I think it was appropriate to honor. Frankly, to be candid with you too, I did it because of George [Steinbrenner]. But the Mets have built a great new ballpark and, yes, they deserve an All-Star Game."

I'll be there too. Haha, you'll probably read something in the papers that year of Me and Bleacher Creature getting too drunk at the game and causing a riot.

Lol, I'll probably be sitting way up top, it's expensive as fuck to go to all-star games.

I was only able to get tickets to the one at Yankee Stadium because my dad worked with a guy who got a season-ticket package that year that included the all-star game but the guy couldn't go so he gave the two tickets to my dad, I'll probably have an income myself the next time around so I'd probably buy my ticket and my dad would buy his. I'd be finishing up my freshmen year of college.

It should be really nice. I would go but the tickets will probably be a lot of money.

Never been to an All-Star Game. Wish I made the one in Detroit, but couldn't get down there. Always wanted to go to one.

No dude your right. Our ballpark is fucking huge, basically Petco on the East Coast. There going to have to pack some punch when they select those guys, like Howard, Fielder, and Tulowitzki.

Last year we had Vernon Wells, Chris Young, and Corey Hart. Tulo in my opinion is more of a HR hitter than those guys. And besides hes never been in one and I think he would do very well.

Those guys are only in it because most of the good HR hitters don't wanna participate. Tulo has power, but when you name him with Fielder and Howard he's a pipsqueak.

Thanks captain obvious.

Like you said, most good home run hitters don't want to participate aka Howard, Fielder, etc. Which gives Tulo the chance to be in it.

Thanks captain obvious? Lmao, stop being a cunt. I was just wondering why he would mention Tulo with those guys, considering he doesn't have the power that they do. If he said someone like Adam Dunn or Adrian Gonzalez then I wouldn't have batted an eyelash.
