Can we get a GM that knows what he's doing please?

Us here in St. Louis are diehard Cardinals fans. At least most people are. We pump hundreds of thousands of dollars into this team every season, and we continue to get no benefit from those dollars spent every off-season (and as a result, the post-season.)

That's only the first of many things Mozecock has done to <Censored> with me. Hiring MCGWIRE AS A HITTING COACH? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The guy had like, a .220 career average. All he could do was hit home runs, and that was mostly the steroids... Dave McKay, or whoever it was, I'm pretty sure it was McKay, turned Brendan Ryan, who I will talk about in about 30 seconds, from a .230 hitter into a .295 hitter. IN ONE SEASON! WHY FIRE HIM?

Then, middle of the season, when we are struggling OFFENSIVELY, we TRADE OUR TOP RBI GUY? Yet another are you <Censored>ING kidding me right now moment. Jake Westbrook wasn't even that good! We didn't need him, we needed Ludwick and his run production, and look at what happened because of it. Oh, wait, it's not like it <Censored>ing mattered anyway because LAGENIUS NEVER <Censored>ING PLAYED HIM. <Censored>ing idiots running this place. It's like when we first got him, and he started playing ROYCE CLAYTON over THE WIZARD......

Now, this off-season was just great wasn't it. <Censored> NO, you really resigned the senile LaGenius (Sarcasm very much intended in that nickname, by the way)? The guy makes the WORST decisions EVER, and we trade anyone that pisses him off. We broke up MV3 because LaGenius didn't like Rolen, and we trade Ludwick and Ryan because of it as well.

Then, Greinke is out there, and the Royals stated that he could go for a middle infielder that is MLB ready. Well, that's Brendan Ryan is it not? Well, we are going to get Greinke then aren't we? Wainwright, Carpenter, and Greinke? <Censored>, we are contesting the Phillies right there. NO, because our <Censored>ing STUPID ASS GM trades one of the best Gloves in the MLB for a <Censored>ING SINGLE A PITCHER. WHAT A <Censored>ING JOKE

Ooooh boy I'm not done either. Cliff Lee is a free agent. WE DIDN'T EVEN PUT AN OFFER IN.

This is why I'm no longer a baseball fan, much less a Cardinals fan. In case anyone wanted to know.

I can understand some of your frustration Zach but what else can you do? How are you going to put in an offer on Cliff Lee when you know it will be laughed off the table. This franchise, a lot of their money, and 90% of their interestests are set on signing Pujols to another lengthy deal. Exploring a Greinke trade wouldn't be a bad idea but I don't think you have the prospects.

Don't feel too bad. The entire league just sat back and watch the Phillies rape MLB on this day.

We should have traded Pujols 4 years ago.

Not only is it a horrible business move to trade (arguably) the greatest player in the game but lose Pujols and you lose your offense.

If we still had Ludwick, Holliday, and then you get the all-star pitcher for him, AND more money to spend, we'd be better off.

Go back and find me a deal that would've given St. Louis an All-Star pitcher for Albert Pujols. Any deal invovling Pujols would've been for a pleathora of top prospects, none of which are guaranteed to become All-Star pitchers. Go back 4 years ago and Chris Carpenter was a Cy Young caliber arm and Wainwright was looking like an All-Star.
