Tigers reliever Joel Zumaya is done for the remainder of the season with a fractured right elbow.

He fractured his olecranon, which is the bony tip of the elbow right under the skin, on Monday night.
Terrible news. He was having such a great season, and was contributing to the team so well. This absolutely sucks.

Zumaya gets injured way too much for my liking, its one of the primary reasons he cant find any true consistency in the majors.

He was a top reliever before he went down with this injury.

This definitely sucks for Zumaya and the Tigers. I feel so bad for him. He looked like he was in SO much pain last night.

Expected to make a full recovery and be ready and fully healthy for next season.

Lucky it was a bone injury and not a tendon injury. Zumaya's initial reaction was that he thought his career was now over. Poor guy. Glad he should be okay though.

I heard about that. I feel bad for him. It looked real bad. But thankfully he will be able to make a full recovery.

Detroit needs a late innings reliever now. Scott Downs could be a good fit. Anthopolous wants a good prospect in return though.

We need to bring someone up from AAA or even AA IMO.

Yeah we will probably be on the market for a set-up type reliever now. Cause if you can get it to Valverde cleanly, it's game over.

We already did, Casey Fien. But he sucks lol.

Maybe we bring up Schlereth eventually. But they said when Perry returns he will be the set-up man.

But I think we will be fine. Coke is a great reliever, Perry if he can return to early this years form, will be fine.

We need to bring back up Perry or even Schlereth within the next few days. I love Perry. Not to sure on how Schlereth has been doing though.

Perry is doing rehab starts because of his injury. So he will for sure be back when he is healthy.
As for Schlereth, he has been actually really solid, his ERA is below 3.

Oh yeah I forgot Perry was injured. Damn it. I haven't been able to find Schlereth's stats for this year anywhere.

Lmao he has a pedo stache. Aside from his 1-2 record, he has some nice stats.

Well he is a reliever so the record typically should be overlooked lol.

He's still young so I have faith.
All the injuries have been pretty much freak, unrelated injuries.

He is a hard worker, I feel like he will stay healthy eventually.
