Looks like Nerlens Noel and Otto Porter will announce they're enterting the draft today.

So McLemore, Noel, Porter, Bennett, Burke, Zeller, Oladipo, Carter-Williams, etc have all declared.  Seems like the only top prospects that haven't announced their intentions yet are Bazz (come on) and Marcus Smart.

Marcus Smart is out, what a shocker:

Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart will return for his sophomore season, sources tell Y! Sports. He could've been a top 5 pick in NBA Draft.

I just never understand the kids who turn down guaranteed money. Especially him considering his draft stock. Shame on his coach who probably had a lot to do with this.

I think he'll take a large step next season.  Look at a guy like Burke and the step he took this season.

Burke was a fringe first round prospect last year. Smart was guaranteed top 10, probably in the top 5.

I'm not talking about the draft, just his overall play.

He won't go as high next year as he would have went this year.

He's risking having scouts pick him apart is what he's doing.

Go get that money now

He might lose out on 2-3M on his 1st contract but if going back really makes him a better player then he'll make a lot more on his 2nd and 3rd contracts, which is where the money comes from.

I'll never stop making this argument. It's much better to get to the NBA and get coaching there than in college.

Like I said, if going back makes him a better player for the future.  Maybe it will, maybe it won't.

Either way though, if he's going back because he believes that's his best option to get better then he will likely make more money in the long run.

See, my argument is he'll make that same development in the NBA and more. Front offices and coaches are depending on him developing into the best he can be to maintain jobs. College coaches are just looking for short term results, especially with guys expected to leave for the NBA soon. The only guys they truly develop are under the radar guys and players not expected to leave as underclassmen.

James Michael McAdoo has decided to return to North Carolina for his junior season.

"I am ecstatic about having the opportunity to coach James Michael for another season," Roy Williams said in a statement.

McAdoo averaged 14.4 points and 7.3 rebounds as a sophomore. NBA executives are concerned about what position McAdoo will play at the next level.
