Bob Arum owner of Top Rank Promotions, and promoter of the media darling Manny Pacquiao has handpicked all of Manny Pacquiao matches to his liking, for the sake of making Top Rank profit, which isn't a bad idea but when you cheat the fans of great fights to do this, well I call that stealing. Arum is quick to blame Mayweather of ducking and dodging fighters when he hasn't put Pacquiao in with anyone who was a threat to beating him. Let's check the record. Manny Pacquiao came into fame for beating Marcos Antonio Barrera, when Barrera just came off a couple of wars with Morales, Who gave Pacquiao his last loss on paper.

Morales moved up to 135lbs because he couldn't make 130lbs anymore. He fought for the world title and got soundly beaten by champion Zahir Raheem. Morales was forced to make 130lbs, to rematch Pacquiao because he wanted to leave Arum, to go with Murad Muhammed, So Arum wanted pacquiao to punish Morales. Eric had to weigh-in twice to make weight. He looked good early then his legs went out on him. You would think after that fight he would fight Raheem or one of the elite fighter at that weight class but no, he fights Morales for a third time. Pacquiao fought three fighters (counting this upcoming bout against marquez) eight times. (Barerra -2, Morales-3, Marquez-3)



Arum promised Humberto Soto and Joan Guzman that the winner of their bout would face Pacquiao, after Guzman won a thriller of a fight, he wasn't rewarded with a big payday fight, which almost made Guzman sue Arum. Not to mention the fact that Pacquiao has avoided elite fighters his entire career. Even the top gate keepers never got a shot at Pacquiao, always the same kind of opponent, one who would stand there and take a beating. After points were made that Pacquiao has never fought an African American fighter. Arum would again state false facts that there wasn't a lot of black fighters at the lighter weights. When Pacquiao moved up in weight to 135, the top fighters were Nate Cambell, Juan Diaz and Julio Diaz. After an undefeated Diaz who has fought on HBO a number of times, called Pacquiao out a number of times as well. Arum makes a fight with the lesser know, never before seen on HBO fighter WBC champion David Diaz. Taking nothing away from Diaz but he was not even in the same class as those fighters. Why would Pacquiao take such a coward road, just to get a cheap title at 135. Arum would make a fight with Pacquiao and Oscar Delahoya only after the goldenboy would agree to the craziest terms in boxing history. Fighting at 147 for the first time in over eight years. Delahoya didn't rehydrate til after the second weigh-in. Leaving him a weight drained fighter for Pacquiao to destroy. Next fight Arum picks Hatton because after Mayweather took everything out of Hatton, a journeyman fighter name Juan Lazcano almost knockout Hatton twice in their bout, making others feel as if Hatton should step down and retire.



Miguel Cotto, was only made because Arum knew Cotto wasn't the same fight after Antonio Margarito may have used illegal plaster wraps against Cotto. Now a shell of his former self, they make the champion defend his title at a catch weight. Cotto was very upset but was paid more money so he would't vacate the title. Joshua Clottey a jourman fighter was put in place after Pacquiao refuse a random blood test by Floyd Mayweather. A company man did his job stand there and take a beating. Margarito coming off a year suspension for trying to fight with Plaster on his gloves, Somehow earns a right to fight Pacquiao according to Bob Arum. After refusing to fight Mosley when he was the number one welter weight in the world. Pacquiao waited to he lost to Mayweather and looked like crap against Sergio Mora, to say ok i can fight Mosley now. Now the 39, year old Juan Manuel Marquez is what you come up with, Arum is proving that the general public will pay for anything.
