Urban Meyer Returns To Sidelines At UF

Florida Gators head football coach Urban Meyer finished his leave of absence from the team on Wednesday. Meyer is engaging his players, but is less involved in certain parts of his team's first practice, according to the Associated Press.

Meyer used to handle all special teams drills himself. But as spring practice got underway, he has several assistants helping with special teams and all other aspects of the team.

Meyer complained of chest pains during the 2009 season and announced his resignation as Gators head football coach in late December. However, Meyer changed his mind the following day and instead took an indefinite leave of absence.

The Gators head coach scaled back his recruiting efforts in 2010, but was still involved in landing the top recruiting class in college football. Meyer hasn't revealed details about his health since December.
