It would be quite surprising any if he was a top 3 player in this class.

since the 2010 draft, at least one of the 3 best players from that class came from pick 9 or later

I don't see why Winslow can't be Top 3. There isn't a clear cut superstar in this draft, unlike 2012, so he could easily end up in the top

Is he a top 3 prospect in the class? No. But acting like he couldn't wind up as a top 3 player in the class at some point is just plain ignorant.

Nobody is saying he can't be, no clue where you managed to pull that from. Winslow being a top three player from this class would be surprising however, acting like it wouldn't be is funny.

There's 7-8 prospects who nobody should be surprised if they're a top 3 player in the class and Winslow is one of them

If you want a list

Towns
Russell
Okafor
Porzingis
Mario
Mudiay
Winslow

Nobody should be surprised if any of those guys becomes a top 3 player in this class

There are three guys on that list that would surprise me. Winslow would be the least surprising, Porzingis the most.

It would surprise me greatly if Winslow is a top 3 player in this class

2010:
Demarcus Cousins [5], John Wall [1], Paul George [10]
2011:
Kyrie Irving [1], Kawhi Leonard [15], Jimmy Butler [30]
2012:
Anthony Davis [1], Damian Lillard [6], Andre Drummond [9]
2013:
Nerlens Noel [6], Giannis Antetokounmpo [15], Victor Oladipo [2]
2014: **
Andrew Wiggins [1], Elfrid Payton [10]

** Jabari Parker should be #2, but I excluded him since he has little NBA experience

Every year, there is someone that falls through the cracks and is one of the best in the class. I don't see why it can't be Winslow, who could have easily gone Top 4 too

He's 6'6.5" according to DraftExpress, and he shot about just as well as Kawhi Leonard did.

There are a lot of people who shot just as well as Leonard in college

For the second time, and I'm sure this will need to be repeated another three times after this, nobody is saying he can't be, would just be surprised if he is.

I think this draft was more top heavy than recent drafts, which is why I'd be shocked if he finished above a lot of the guys picked before him

He shot over 40% from three in college....
Sure but that doesn't make him a good shooter, there's no versatility to his range of jump shooting. No mid range game at all. He's scoring at the rim or at the 3 point line. He's walking, breathing NBA Jam.

I think of him as like Quentin Richardson with better defense and less ambitious with threes, which would be a pretty decent career.

The mid-range game is being phased out of the NBA. I don't think he'll ever be an elite shooter but he definitely can shoot. He's an athletic freak and he's 19 years old
