I agree completely with this list. How can you NOT have Magic at #1? That's like saying Jordan sucks...

Well Oscar Robinson had better stats and didn't have all those pieces around him really.

And really what makes Cousy so good? 18 PPG, 7 APG, under 40% FG

In a couple years, Chris Paul will be on top or towards the top of the list.

Cousy was like the first flashy point guard, I think that's why people mention him as one of the greatest.

its not all about stats. its about what they mean to their team. Oscar was on a lot of losing teams during his career.
look at this year. Al Jefferson had better stats than KG, but we all know why KG was considered an MVP candidate and why Al wasnt

Magic meant way more to his team than Oscar. Magic dominated games, and was a winner.
and you act like Magic's stats were bad.
and since you like stats so much, according to ESPN's PER thing, Magic was the better player in terms of PER

john stockton is my fav Pg, and i just cant get over the fact that magic was like 6'9. He clearly had a huge height advantage. As for stock, all time leader in steals and assists. By huge margins too, no one will ever shatter those records. He has like 15,000 assists, 2nd on the list??? Marc Jackson with like 5,000, thats how good he was....

1. Magic
2. Big O
3. Stockton
4. Thomas
5. Kidd

I personally dont think Cousy could be considered as an all-time great, he was just the first of his kind, and made all the opposing PG's look stupid on the floor.

I'd say Nash is about 7th or 8th in my list.

I dont consider him a top PG all-time, just because he's had about 4 good season's, compared to Kidd whos been at a certian level for years. I know he's won MVP award, but honestly I dont think those were MVP season's, especially after seeing what Paul does at the point guard position...

1) John Stockton [Mm-hmm]
2) Magic Johnson
3) Isiah Thomas
4) Jason Kidd

That's all. I'm not going to pick guys who played in the 70's and stuff.

I put Nash up there as 5B just because if he can keep this up for another 4 years, why not? He shoots like 50% from the field and 40% from 3pt range and a high FT%...

Always among the league leaders in APG, and points for a PG...

Back to back MVPs (whether he deserved them or not) certainly help the cause.
